Dedication of Porthleven School’s Remembrance Garden

On Friday, I attended along with many parents, children, military personnel, religious ministers and staff from Porthleven School for the dedication of Porthleven School’s new Remembrance Garden.

This was a lovely service with three religious ministers, two from RNAS Culdrose, and St Barts minister each taking turns during the dedication.

Porthleven has strong links with the military, not only with those who went to fight in far-flung lands, but with RNAS Culdrose whose personnel have often made Porthleven their home.

The Remembrance Garden is wonderful, and was made by the children of the school. The school should be very proud of the work, as it is a fitting tribute for those who served, but more importantly, those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
